Shop Drawing Preparation
  • Review Contract Documents: Analyze architectural, structural, and MEP plans to ensure
    design compliance.
  • Develop Shop Drawings: Create detailed drawings for structural, mechanical, electrical, and
    plumbing systems.
  • Coordination with MEP & Structural Teams:
    1. Align shop drawings with structural requirements (e.g., reinforcement details,
    framing plans).
    2. Ensure MEP systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical) fit within the structural framework
    without clashes.
    3. Collaborate with engineers to resolve conflicts between trades.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to building codes, safety standards, and client requirements.
  • RFIs & Clarifications: Address discrepancies and request additional information.
  • Approval Process: Secure client approval for final drawings and ensure compliance.
  • Site Verification: Conduct field surveys to confirm measurements and verify alignment of
    MEP and structural elements.
  • Issue Resolution: Address construction challenges related to structure and MEP systems.
  • Implementation Support: Ensure updated shop drawings are available for construction.
  • Meetings: Participate in coordination meetings with site teams, MEP, and structural
    engineers to track progress and resolve issues.
  • Revisions: Update drawings based on site changes, including modifications to MEP and
    structural layouts.
  • As-Built Drawings: Provide final documentation reflecting actual installations.
  • Tracking & Documentation: Maintain organized records of submissions and approvals.
  • Progress Reports: Keep the client informed on drawing status and issues.
  • Final Submission: Deliver all final shop drawings and as-built records.
  • QC Checks: Validate accuracy and compliance of shop drawings.
  • Coordination with Contractors & MEP/Structural Teams: Ensure cross-discipline alignment
    to prevent conflicts.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Tracking & Documentation: Maintain organized records of submissions and approvals.
  • Progress Reports: Keep the client informed on drawing status and issues.
  • Final Submission: Deliver all final shop drawings and as-built records.

Quality Control & Assurance

  • QC Checks: Validate accuracy and compliance of shop drawings.
  • Coordination with Contractors & MEP/Structural Teams: Ensure cross-discipline alignment
    to prevent conflicts.

    • Collaborate with engineers to resolve conflicts between trades.

  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to building codes, safety standards, and client requirements.
    • Coordination with subcon regarding the fixation systems, materials provided and delivery schedules to avoid any delays or clashes on site.
